ABOUT

Dr. Kathirasan K

Kathirasan K (Kathir), a scholar-practitioner from Singapore, is deeply rooted in the Advaita Vedanta tradition through a distinguished and living lineage. He was trained under Swami Satprakashananda Saraswati of Atma Vidya Vanam, a direct disciple of the renowned Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Arsha Vidya tradition. Swami Dayananda was instrumental in revitalizing the traditional method of teaching Vedanta—one that reveals the nature of Consciousness through the Upanishads that leads to freedom from all limitations. This method, passed down through generations, is precise, time-tested, and transformative. Under this lineage, Kathir not only studied the teachings but also imbibed the pedagogy that enables seekers to recognize their true nature and live with inner freedom. With over 20 years of experience, he continues to share this liberating knowledge with clarity and dedication.

Kathir holds a Ph.D. in Yoga Philosophy and Meditation, and an MBA, reflecting a blend of traditional wisdom and contemporary knowledge. He is also the author of ‘Forty Steps to Liberation: A Commentary on the Sadhana Pancakam’ and ‘The Advaita Vedanta of Shiva Samhita: A Vedantic Commentary on the First Chapter’, and several books on secular mindfulness. His work often bridges ancient philosophical concepts with modern applications, such as neuroscience, psychology and mindfulness.
